The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that they are following the escalating conflict in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia with concern. The following statement was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
“We are following the escalating conflicts in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia with concern. We call for an immediate ceasefire to end the violence and establish peace and stability in the country, and invite the parties to dialogue. We reiterate that we are ready to provide all kinds of support in this context.
Turkey, which has friendly relations with all ethnic groups in Ethiopia based on historical and cultural ties, will continue its humanitarian aid to Ethiopia, including the Tigray region, since the beginning of the conflict. Turkey will continue to support efforts to preserve peace, tranquility and stability in Ethiopia.”
